For this project, February 2022 has been fixed as the deadline. Currently, the construction of 5.17 km of the 6-lane road between Xavier Square and Infocity Square is underway. The 13.2 kilometres long road has been estimated to be constructed at a cost of Rs 92 crore. The road will connect CRPF Square to Institute of Mathematics in phases. The secretary then reviewed the progress of the Left Parallel Road Project, which is envisaged to reduce the traffic on the Jayadev Vihar-Patia road. After taking stock of the construction work, Pandian asked the officials to ensure the quality of work shouldn’t be compromised and the work should complete within the stipulated time frame. The project is being constructed by Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and it is targeted to be finished by June 2022. The bus depot at Khandagiri is a part of this project with a parking capacity for 300 buses. The ISBT at Baramunda is being built over a land spreading 15.5 acres at a cost of Rs 180 crore.
